At the heart of Hidden Gemz of North Carolina and their vision for the future is a commitment to creating a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive community for families of individuals with disabilities. We recognize the unique challenges and joys that come with caring for loved ones with special needs, and we are dedicated to providing opportunities for connection, respite, and enrichment.

Monthly Family Events: The vision includes organizing monthly events that cater to the entire family, including siblings of individuals with disabilities. These events will be designed to foster a sense of community, offering fun and engaging activities that everyone can enjoy. Whether it's a family picnic, Bubbles Foam Party, or a campfire, these gatherings will provide a platform for families to bond, share experiences, and create lasting memories.

Caregiver Support and Respite Services: They understand the immense dedication and effort required of caregivers. To support them, she seeks to offer monthly events specifically for caregivers, providing much-needed respite services. These events will include paid date nights, allowing caregivers to enjoy a well-deserved evening out while knowing their loved ones are in safe and caring hands. We will also host regular get-togethers for families and volunteers, creating opportunities for mutual support, networking, and friendship.

Specialized Retreats: To further support caregivers, Tangy envisions the ability to introduce retreats tailored to their unique needs. These retreats include:

Mom's Retreat will offer mothers a chance to relax, recharge, and connect with other moms who share similar experiences. Activities will include workshops, relaxation sessions, and opportunities for personal growth.

Dad's Base Camp will provide fathers with a supportive environment to unwind, share stories, and engage in activities that promote camaraderie and well-being.

Summer Camp and Enrichment Programs: Their vision also includes the establishment of a Summer Camp, offering individuals with disabilities a chance to participate in a variety of enriching activities during the summer months. This camp will provide a safe and inclusive environment where participants can build friendships, develop new skills, and experience the joy of camp life.

Opportunities for Community Engagement: Beyond these specific initiatives, our goal is to create various opportunities for families to come together throughout the year. This includes educational workshops, recreational outings, and Special Needs Vendor Fair, that encourage collaboration and mutual support.
